Program

1st day:Ljubljana

Arrival in Ljubljana in the evening. Accommodation and free time for shopping, dinner…
Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in the city centre, close to the highlights.

2nd day:Ljubljana

After breakfast we will explore the capital city of Slovenia. The highlights include the beautiful old town, Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, Castle and the Three Bridges Square, … In the evening you could attend a traditional folklore evening with typical Slovenian food. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Ljubljana.

3rd day:Ljubljana - Goriška Brda - Ljubljana

After Breakfast we will explore Goriška Brda – a fairy tale landscape, from where the view stretches to the sea, Friuli and Veneto, a land of hills, nested halfway between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The abundance of beauties, attractions and experiences attracts each and every traveller. Bearing the stamp of the past, today’s life in the villages and hamlets of Brda has been taking its own pace – tranquil and cheerful, surrounded by family and in harmony with visitors. The essence of the Brda region remains the same – pleasure of tasting excellent dishes, enticing wine experience and unforgettable socializing moments. Overnight in a 3* hotel in Ljubljana.

4th day:Ljubljana - Lipica - Postojna Cave (Karst region) - Ljubljana

After breakfast we will continue to the Karst region, to the Lipica Stud Farm, home of the Lipizzaner horse. Nowadays, it is one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments of Slovenia, its rich history reaches back to the year 1580, when Habsburg Archduke Carl founded it. Near Lipica you can also visit Postojna Cave, which ranks among the most important caves in the world, representing a must see underground phenomena. Take a train tour around magnificent galleries, stalagmites and of course, meet our “baby dragon”, Human Fish. Overnight in a 3* hotel in Ljubljana.

5th day:Ljubljana - Brezje - Bled - Lake Bohinj - Ljubljana

After breakfast we will drive through the picturesque landscape to the heart of the Slovenian Alpine region. But the first stop is the town of Brezje, where we will visit Basilica. Later we depart to Bled, which is often mentioned as the »Pearl of the Alpine region«. Famous for the emerald-green lake, romantic church on the island in the middle of the lake and a medieval castle from the 11th century perched on a cliff overlooking the lake. Leisure in Bled and a trip to the island by a traditional lake boat called “Pletna”. After tasting the exquisite sour milk and Bled’s famous Kremšnita (cream cake), we continue our journey to Lake Bohinj, the largest glacial lake in Slovenia. We will have time to relax at the side of the peaceful lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains rising high above. Overnight in a 3* hotel in Ljubljana.

6th day:Ljubljana - Zagreb

After breakfast we continue our drive to Zagreb, which is an old Central European city. The centre of Zagreb is divided into two parts: Gornji Grad (Upper Town) and Donji Grad (Lower Town). Because of its historical structures, churches and religious monuments, Gornji Grad has great historic value attached to it and is literally a tourist’s paradise. Donji Grad, on the other hand, mostly contains shops, cafes, museums, and parks. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Zagreb.

7th day:Zagreb - Pula (Brijuni Islands National Park)

After breakfast we will continue to Pula, which is the largest town on the Istrian peninsula. We will take a step through the old town’s landmarks, beginning and ending with the Roman amphitheatre. Then you continue to Fažana – little fisher village and take a boat to the Brijuni Islands National Park, which consist of 14 smaller and larger islands. In the park there are about 700 different flowers, trees, pines, cedars, eucalyptus and a little safari park with zebras, llamas, deer… Overnight in a 3* hotel in Pula.

8th day:Pula - Portorož - Piran - Trieste

After breakfast we will continue to the Slovenian coastal town of Piran, which resembles a large open-air museum. Strolling along narrow medieval streets, you will fall in love with the city and its rich cultural heritage. Free time in Portorož, then we will head to Trieste.
